Merging Duplicates

Ever noticed the same screen or action showing up twice in your journey maps? Our merge feature lets you clean up these duplicates that Adora might have incorrectly identified as different items.

Merging Duplicate Screens

Sometimes screens that are the same aren’t recognized by Adora. This typically happens when a new version of a screen is released. The merge feature allows you to combine these screens to keep your journey maps accurate and organized.

How to Merge Duplicate Screens:

  1. Select the Screen’s section of the Homepage
  2. Click the three dots on your preferred screen
  3. Choose “Merge Duplicates”
  4. Select which screens to combine
  5. Click Merge Duplicates

Merging Duplicate Actions

When users click buttons, Adora tracks and groups these interactions as “Actions.” Sometimes two buttons are functionally the same, but Adora doesn’t recognize them as identical. Common examples include:

  • Icon version vs. text version of the same button
  • Buttons with different language text but the same function

Important: Merging is permanent and cannot be undone, so only use this for true duplicates of the same screen or action.

How to Merge Duplicates Actions:

  1. Select any action in a journey
  2. Click the three dots in the right panel
  3. Choose “Merge Duplicates”
  4. Select which actions to combine
  5. Click Merge Duplicates

Creating subscreens

In many products, the same URL or interface element can lead to different screens depending on user context. For example:

  • A login screen for logged out users and Home screen for logged in users
  • The same button might lead to different destinations based on user state

Subscreens allow you to distinguish and track these variations separately, giving you precise visibility into how different user segments experience your product.

How to Create a Subscreen:

  1. Select any screen in a journey
  2. Click the three dots in the right corner
  3. Choose “Create Subscreen”
  4. Enter unique text that identifies this screen variant (text that only appears in this version of the screen)
  5. Name your subscreen

This process separates screens that Adora has grouped together but are actually different user experiences, ensuring your journey maps accurately reflect the real user paths through your product.
